Joshua Hughes, Tuck-Hinton Architecture & Design

Josh joined Tuck-Hinton Architecture & Design in 2006. As a member of the firm’s Leadership Team, he makes significant contributions to the design by exploring, formulating and testing the various potentials of each project. For Josh, the process of creating architecture, that positively contributes to the built environment, results from a harmony of creativity and technical proficiency. While at Tuck-Hinton, Josh has worked on a variety of project sizes and types, some of which include hospitality, residential, civic and educational.

Josh received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kentucky in 2006. During his time in school, he gained valuable experience through a working collaboration between the university and Design Lab. Following school, Josh returned to Nashville, beginning his career at Tuck-Hinton. After several years of experience he chose to pursue an Executive MBA Degree at Vanderbilt University in order to gain valuable perspective in business leadership, management, and strategy. During that time Josh also joined the Tuck-Hinton Ownership Team emerging as a new voice in the firm.

Josh is a licensed architect registered with the American Institute of Architects & the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. He also serves his community as chairman of the Nolensville Historic Zoning Commission and a member of the Nolensville Design Review Committee. Josh is a native of the area and his family is well rooted in the region. He has a strong sense of dedication to both his professional and personal life and enjoys maximizing both to their fullest potential.
